Suspension becomes part of your day
Wahiba is full of surfaces that look smooth from a distance and feel very different at the wheel. Ripples, tracks and changing dune faces repeat through the day. Long-travel suspension helps the machine manage that movement, but it does not turn rough terrain into a smooth road.
You still need to be ready for bumps, slopes and sustained concentration. Comfort comes from the complete combination: a prepared vehicle, the route, sensible rest stops, your driving and a pace suited to the group.
Power is useful when the sand changes
Soft sand asks more of a machine than a firm track. A long climb can arrive after an easy section, and the vehicle also carries people, fuel and supplies. Appropriate performance gives the team a capable platform across those changes.
The objective is a well-managed crossing. You follow the guide’s line and instructions; racing and unapproved dune lines have no place in the day. Previous UTV experience is not mandatory, but a valid driving licence and readiness for a demanding journey are essential.
The route is as important as the machine
