The experience
Choose a route that suits your time and experience.
What is a guided self-drive adventure?
You drive the off-road vehicle while a FOXATVs guide leads the route. FOXATVs plans and supports the journey in Oman; this is a guided experience, not independent vehicle rental.
Do I drive the vehicle myself?
Yes. Eligible participants drive their own adventure vehicle, following the guide. Driver requirements depend on the selected route.
Can beginners join?
Beginner-friendly options are available. Tell the team about your experience so they can recommend a suitable route and explain the briefing and driver coaching.
Where do the adventures take place?
FOXATVs operates guided off-road adventures in Oman. The available collection includes Wadi Al Rak, The Original Adventure and Jabal Abyad Expedition. Check each page for its route and meeting arrangements.
How long does an adventure last?
Duration depends on the route. Choose a shorter experience, a full-day journey or a multi-day expedition, and check the duration stated on the adventure page.

Do I need a driving licence?
Licence and minimum-age requirements vary by adventure. Read the requirements on your selected adventure page and confirm eligibility with FOXATVs before booking.
What is included?
Inclusions are listed on each adventure page. Check the guide, vehicle, safety equipment, fuel and support details for your chosen experience; confirm any meals, transfers or overnight arrangements separately.
Can families and groups join?
Families and groups can ask FOXATVs for a suitable experience. Driver ages, passenger ages, seating and route suitability vary; share the ages and size of your group before confirming.
What should I wear and bring?
Follow the preparation and safety instructions supplied for your adventure. Confirm suitable clothing, footwear and personal items with the team, taking the route and weather into account.

How do I book an adventure?
Choose an adventure, review its requirements and use the booking or enquiry option on its page. FOXATVs confirms the arrangements and availability; an enquiry alone does not confirm a booking.
What happens if I need to cancel or the weather changes?
The booking terms explain cancellation, changes and refunds. Contact FOXATVs about your booking and follow the team’s instructions if conditions affect your route.
How can I get help choosing?
Contact FOXATVs with your preferred date, group size, ages, time available and driving experience. The team can help you compare suitable adventures.

Travel insurance
FOX ATVs does not currently provide, sell, underwrite, guarantee, or include personal travel insurance. Every guest arranges and pays for suitable cover independently. Insurance is strongly recommended for every activity and required before participation in any adventure, expedition, rally, or programme lasting one full day or more.
Do FOX ATVs adventures include travel insurance?
No. FOX ATVs does not currently provide or include personal travel insurance with any adventure, expedition, booking, or activity. Guests are responsible for arranging and paying for their own suitable insurance.
Do I need insurance for a FOX ATVs adventure?
Personal travel insurance is strongly recommended for every FOX ATVs activity. It is required for adventures, expeditions, rallies, and programmes lasting one full day or more.
Your policy must be valid in Oman and explicitly cover emergency medical treatment, medical evacuation, repatriation, and the relevant guided self-drive ATV, quad bike, UTV, SSV, dune buggy, or off-road activity. Where applicable, confirm cover for off-road motorsport activity and for your role as a driver or passenger.
Why must the activity be named in my policy?
Standard travel insurance may exclude motorised off-road activities, quad bikes, ATVs, UTVs, dune buggies, and off-road motorsports. Before purchasing, ask the insurer to confirm in writing that your planned FOX ATVs activity is covered as a driver or passenger.
Can FOX ATVs arrange insurance for me?
On request and subject to availability, FOX ATVs may offer paid administrative assistance or referral support to help you contact an independent third-party insurance provider. This service is not an insurance policy or insurance advice, and does not guarantee cover. FOX ATVs is not an insurer, insurance broker, claims handler, or representative of any insurer. Any policy is purchased separately and directly by the guest, who remains responsible for checking the policy wording and confirming that it is suitable.
Does travel insurance cover vehicle damage or my liability under FOX ATVs’ terms?
Not necessarily. Personal travel insurance may not cover vehicle damage, damage excess, a security deposit, personal liability connected to operating the vehicle, or any amounts payable under the FOX ATVs Terms & Conditions, Waiver, or damage schedule. Do not assume these obligations are insured. Guests remain responsible for all applicable obligations under their booking terms.
What should I do if I need medical help in Oman?
Seek urgent medical assistance where necessary and contact your insurer’s emergency-assistance number as soon as reasonably possible. Keep your policy details, medical reports, invoices, receipts, and any documents requested by the insurer. FOX ATVs cannot approve or manage insurance claims and cannot promise cashless treatment, direct settlement, claim approval, cover, evacuation, reimbursement, or any insurer outcome.

Some guests may wish to request a quote directly from the following independent providers. FOX ATVs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for these providers or their policies. FOX ATVs has no commercial partnership, affiliate arrangement, commission arrangement, control, or responsibility regarding any external insurer, broker, policy, quote, claim decision, payment, exclusion, or service outcome.
