What is a guided self-drive ATV adventure?
It is an off-road journey where you drive an ATV, UTV or buggy while a guide leads the route. FOXATVs plans the adventure and provides briefing, equipment and support for the selected experience.
Do I drive the vehicle myself?
On a self-drive option, you take the wheel and follow your guide after a briefing and coaching. If you prefer to ride, Desert Rush Co-Pilot lets you join beside a FOXATVs driver.
Is FOXATVs an ATV rental company?
FOXATVs provides guided self-drive adventures in Oman, rather than standalone vehicle rentals. You book a planned journey with professional guidance and support.
Do I need previous off-road driving experience?
Previous off-road experience is not required for Wadi Al Rak. The guide introduces you to the vehicle and explains how to drive the route. For longer adventures, ask the team to confirm suitability.
Do I need a driving licence?
A driving licence is not required for Wadi Al Rak, but it is required for the Jabal Abyad expedition. Requirements vary by route, so check your chosen adventure before booking.
What is included in a FOXATVs adventure?
Guidance, a vehicle, a safety briefing and essential protective equipment are part of the experience. Wadi Al Rak also includes fuel, technical support and refreshments. Meals, camping and other extras depend on the selected adventure.
Are the adventures suitable for beginners?
Yes. Wadi Al Rak is a beginner-friendly starting point, with briefing and guide support. Longer routes have different requirements; FOXATVs can help you choose an appropriate adventure.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and closed shoes. Bring sun protection and your ID; your chosen adventure may need additional items. FOXATVs provides preparation information before you arrive.
Can families or groups join?
Families and groups can join suitable adventures, subject to passenger ages, vehicle capacity and route requirements. Tell FOXATVs the number of drivers, passengers and children’s ages so the team can advise.
Where are FOXATVs adventures located in Oman?
Wadi Al Rak adventures start from the FOXATVs hub in Al Jarda, around one hour from Muscat. Longer journeys explore Oman’s mountains, wadis and coastal terrain; the meeting point depends on the adventure.
Are bookings priced per person or per vehicle?
Self-drive prices are per vehicle. For Desert Rush, Co-Pilot is OMR 35 per person beside a team driver; Captain is OMR 75 and Elite Pro is OMR 98 per two-seat vehicle. Confirm participant numbers, extras and the final total before booking.
How do I choose and book the right adventure?
