A FEW THINGS BEFORE YOU GO
Everything starts with feeling ready.
It is an off-road journey where you drive an ATV, UTV or buggy while a guide leads the route. FOXATVs plans the adventure and provides briefing, equipment and support for the selected experience.
On a self-drive option, you take the wheel and follow your guide after a briefing and coaching. If you prefer to ride, Desert Rush Co-Pilot lets you join beside a FOXATVs driver.
FOXATVs provides guided self-drive adventures in Oman, rather than standalone vehicle rentals. You book a planned journey with professional guidance and support.
Previous dune-driving experience is not required for Desert Taste or Desert Rush. Your guide explains the vehicle controls and the route before you drive. A valid driving licence is required for self-drive; confirm suitability with the team.
A valid driving licence is required for the self-drive options on Desert Taste and Desert Rush. If you prefer to ride beside a team driver, ask about Desert Rush Co-Pilot. Confirm participant requirements before booking.
Desert Taste includes a two-seat buggy, guide, fuel, safety briefing and required safety equipment within its 30-minute total experience. Desert Rush has its own inclusions. Check your chosen package; pickup, meals and other extras are only included when stated.
Desert Taste offers a short introduction to the dunes, and Desert Rush gives you more time to explore. Both include a briefing and guide support. A valid licence is required to drive; the team can advise on participant suitability.
Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and closed shoes. Bring sun protection and your ID; your chosen adventure may need additional items. FOXATVs provides preparation information before you arrive.
Families and groups can join suitable adventures, subject to passenger ages, vehicle capacity and route requirements. Tell FOXATVs the number of drivers, passengers and children’s ages so the team can advise.
Desert Taste and Desert Rush start from the FOX ATVs Sand Hub in Al Rakah, near Bidiyah, at the edge of Wahiba Sands (Sharqiya Sands). Expeditions have their own meeting instructions. Confirm your arrival plan with the team before travelling.
Desert Taste Captain is OMR 39 and Elite Pro is OMR 49 per two-seat buggy. Desert Rush self-drive is OMR 75 for Captain or OMR 98 for Elite Pro per two-seat buggy; Co-Pilot is OMR 35 per person. Confirm participants, extras and the final total before booking.

Optional advertising measurement. With your permission, Google Ads measures confirmed paid adventure bookings and their payment value. Reservation fees and WhatsApp clicks are not purchases. Customer names, emails, phone numbers and card details are excluded.
TikTok advertising pixel
Optional advertising measurement. With your permission, TikTok measures page visits, adventure views, booking starts, WhatsApp or phone clicks, and confirmed adventure payment values in OMR. Reservation fees are recorded separately. Pseudonymous visitor and campaign identifiers connect permitted visits to payments. We do not send booking-form names, email addresses, phone numbers, card details or private payment links. You can decline and still book, or reopen Cookie settings to withdraw consent.
Microsoft Clarity
